Greenhouse management is challenging and farmers often much make decisions based on assumptions and not fact. This can lead to errors such as improper watering and slow emergency response, triggering a decrease in the quality and yield of farmers' crops. Smart Green aims to reduce these costly errors through their automated IoT greenhouse system.
Smart Green is greenhouse automation system developed to increase the efficiency of greenhouses and decrease human error. The system is made of high-tech sensors installed inside and outside of the greenhouse that collect valuable data. From this data, the system will perform automated actions and send alarm notifications in case of emergency situations.
Smart Green helps to build low-cost and easy to install greenhouse automation systems affordable to farmers in developing countries.
This venture is directly mapped SDG 2: End hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture. It is also indirectly mapped with SDG 9: Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation.
