We’re happy to announce that UNDP Armenia’s ImpactAIM Climate Change Tech Accelerator (CCTA) is coming back for the 3rd time with the new aim to reshape the energy sector towards the SDGs. UNDP ImpactAim Accelerator in cooperation with Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF), ISTC - Innovative Solutions and Technologies Center Foundation is calling Armenian and international tech ventures to apply for AIM Climate Change Technology Accelerator (CCTA) 2020 focused on “Energy Efficiency and Renewables”. UNDP ImpactAim Climate Change Tech Accelerator is funded and run by UNDP ImpactAIM Accelerator with support of UNDP Country Investment Facility, Russia-UNDP Trust Fund for Development, Asian Development Bank Ventures Facility, the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia and implemented jointly with Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF), ISTC - Innovative Solutions and Technologies Center Foundation and Engineering City, providing infrastructure, both technical and environmental, to help startups for piloting their projects.

The acceleration program will include the following activities:

INITIAL NEEDS ASSESSMENT
Development of a TAILORED program according to the needs of the startup and ENGAGEMENT OF THE STRATEGYZER mentor
Business Bootcamp: during the first 6 weeks teams will have weekly workshops on the specifically chosen topics, as well as office hours will be offered by mentors during the week.
Customer Development Track will be dedicated to the fieldworks and actual usage of the knowledge and techniques learnt during the Bootcamp.
Technology Track: 4 weeks of targeted workshops on technological topics
Impact Track: a 4 week impact measurement and tracking module
Individual Sessions: based on the development needs of each startup, specific support and tailored mentorship will be offered to each participating team.
Demo Day: the wrap up of the acceleration program. Selected startups will pitch in front of the Evaluating Committee of CCTA 2020.

ImpactAim is helping start-up teams, innovators, scientists, engineers, researchers, and entrepreneurs

The ImpactAim acceleration program combines study sessions based on cutting-edge methodologies and hands-on experience in knowledge areas that are crucial for startup/business development, as well as tailored mentorship and individual coaching from instructors and experts. The goal was to strengthen ventures’ market base, scale up impact, and increase their investment absorption capacity. ImpactAim hosts guest speakers from Armenian and foreign startups with notable traction and a social impact, as well as in-house trainers and experts. The acceleration program engages key resources, experienced entrepreneurs, mentors, advisers, industry thought leaders and other stakeholders concerned with the acceleration of ventures. By the end of the program, teams develop and implement their operational models, which will increase their product capabilities in the market. Ventures will also be introduced to a network of Impact VCs and angels with access to funding opportunities through targeted roadshows and pitching events.

The team demonstrates the appropriate skills, motivation, commitment and ambition to grow the venture and using the program support scale their solution to other countries.

MARKET AND SCALABILITY

Replicable, scalable business model targeting sustainable operations. There is clear evidence of market demand for the product or service, demonstrated by sales and market share in the country of operation, as well as by interest from partners or customers in other countries.

INNOVATIVE APPROACH

Demonstrates an innovative approach in addressing a neglected / ineffectively addressed social and/or environmental problem. The approach could include either an innovative solution and/or an innovative business model. Collaborations with government, private sector, academia, NGOs, and civil society are in place.

PROBLEM DEFINITION AND IMPACT

The solution is addressing a clearly defined social and/or environmental problem. The venture has the potential to make an impact on the community, industry sector and/or geographic location it operates in, and the targeted/achieved impact is measurable.
